DIRTY LOVE
Status: Completed
Director(s): John Asher
Main cast: Jenny McCarthy, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Carmen Electra
Long synopsis : Rebecca is a girl on the edge. Actually, she’s in full-tilt emotional meltdown. Her Barbie dreams are lying in tatters after she caught her hunky Ken banging another doll. Rebecca finds herself on the street - the Hollywood Walk of Fame, to be precise -with no love and no plans except a half-baked quest (courtesy of a goofy fortune-teller) to “find the white pony”. DIRTY LOVE is the hilarious creation of the warped minds of director John Asher and writer/star Jenny McCarthy. Revealing herself as a master of physical comedy, McCarthy literally throws herself from one wild comic situation into another. She is backed by a zany supporting cast playing her so-called friends, including Carmen Electra as a homogenised homegirl, Kam Eskin as a ditsy blonde actress and Eddie Kaye Thomas as the Cinderfella who would do anything for Rebecca if she would just notice him. A laugh-out-loud send-up of life in L.A., DIRTY LOVE is outrageous and unforgettable. With political correctness out of the question, Asher and McCarthy blithely bounce across a comic minefield where few would dare to tread.
