Short synopsis : Inspired by Laurent Mauvignier’s novel, internationally acclaimed auteur Lucas Belvaux revisits the tragedy of the Algerian War of Independence (1954-1962) and the wounds it inflicted on an entire generation.

Long synopsis : Burgundy, France. Solange's 60th birthday celebrations are violently interrupted by her estranged brother, Bernard. His outburst will reawaken painful memories and reveal untold stories of the Algerian War.
